Felling, cutting, and loading with one grapple saw

The LogRunner GS38 is a tilting grapple saw for tractor-mounted timber cranes, forestry machines and truck-mounted cranes. Its hydraulic chainsaw cuts timber up to 380 mm in diameter. Typical applications include roadside clearing, hazardous tree removal, timber cross-cutting and loading.

The tilt function makes it easier to position the grapple for cutting and switch from cutting to handling and loading. Cut tree sections can be moved with the same grapple in a controlled manner to the ground, onto a load bed or into a chipper without changing attachments.

Electro-hydraulic control allows all functions to operate through one double-acting hydraulic circuit. Chain lubrication is automatic, and chain tensioning is manual.

The GS38 is manufactured in Finland at JAK’s own factory using SSAB steels, including Hardox® wear-resistant steel.
