LogRunner MGS40 Loading Grapple with Saw for Timber Cranes, Forestry Machines and Truck-Mounted Cranes

Cutting, sorting and loading with one grapple

The LogRunner MGS40 combines the functions of a conventional timber grapple and a hydraulic chainsaw in one attachment. It is suitable for tractor-mounted timber cranes, forestry machines and truck-mounted cranes. Its hydraulic chainsaw cuts timber up to 400 mm in diameter.

The grapple can grip, sort, move, load and cut timber without changing attachments. Its wide 1,200 mm opening makes it easier to handle logs, branches and bundled material. Combining cutting and loading reduces separate work stages in applications such as timber handling and loading logging residues.

Electro-hydraulic control allows all functions to operate through one double-acting hydraulic circuit. Chain lubrication is automatic, and chain tensioning is manual.

The MGS40 is manufactured in Finland at JAK’s own factory using SSAB steels, including Hardox® wear-resistant steel.

Rotators and mountings are available according to the customer’s carrier machine and requirements.
