Cylinder options

Depending on the customer's needs and the characteristics of the chassis machine, either a standard cylinder or an LP cylinder is available for the JAK Tree Shear. The cylinder options can be used to influence the cutting power, the speed and the requirements of the chassis machine for the tree shear.

The LP cylinder is intended for situations where the pressure of the chassis machine is 240 bar or less. In such cases, the LP cylinder provides additional cutting power to the grab at a lower machine pressure. When the chassis pressure is between 240 and 300 bar, a standard cylinder is the right choice. Then the grab has sufficient power and is fast.

The LP-cylinder grabs are equipped with a pressure relief valve to prevent damage caused by excessive pressure peaks. The LP cylinder does not make the grabs used on 240-300 bar chassis machines more powerful, but the tree shear is significantly slowed down.
